This well preserved colonial estate is a great introduction to the history of Chilean economy and the life of rich landowners compared to the working class. We visited in off-season so did a self-guided tour with tapes.

    Old Chile
    This is a great place to visit to understand how Chile was created. This is a 6,300 hectars Hacienda, where more than 2,000 people worked, (23 only serving the Hacendado house). Will help you understand part of the Chilean history. Make sure you call before to schedule a guided visit. Well worth it¡¡

    A famile lives here
    It is facinating to see. Everything stands AS the famile left it. We had an exelent guide. Can highly recomend. The hotel Terravina, where We lives, made the arrangement for think you have to book in advance.
