    Magnificent historical reconstruction
Exploring this Fort was an unexpected pleasure. It was reconstructed in the late 1930s and the craftsmanship was excellent, the attention to detail shows in each room. Re-built based only upon old drawings and written descriptions, it feels like you've stepped back in time. The pamphlet had a great story about each room, and in June/22 there was 1 costumed interpreter available to answer questions and demonstrate the various trade implements on-site. We spent just over 2 hours touring & exploring but I'd say the average time to see everything would be 1 to 1.5 hours. A very historical & worthwhile place to visit.

    View into the past.
The construction of this historic site really brought into reality the life led by the early French settlers. With rooms laid out and furnished as they would have been in the C17 it was easy to imagine how they lived in this difficult environment. A great site well worth a visit if you are in the area.
