Masurian channel
I advise to everybody to make a trip along the route of Masurian Channel. Germanese started to buiild this channel in the late 20ties of XX century to connect the biggest masurian lakes (Lake Mamry ) with the Baltic sea. Part of channel was on polish side and part on russian side. They have constructed (started to construct) sluices (locks) on channel to connect the level differences. Now only 2 sluices in Poland are working, rest is not finished .Part of channel is overgrowned. But the trip along the channel , sluices is very interesting , you can meet some people willing to bring back the channel to be used for sailing. Sluices you can see in Lesniowe Dolne , Lesniewo Gorna, Guja,Przystan.
