One word - beautiful!
When you walk along this street you would never think that most of the building have been heavily bombarded in WWII. I don't know who spent huge amount of money but the result will take your breath. Simply AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL... There are 3 houses which have been restored to their pre-war glory and are on display: The Uphagen House, the Ferber House, and Lion Court. We visited Uphagen House - beautiful! The street is full of restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. There are 2 tourist information shops on the street - one near the Green Gate , the other is opposite Town Hall. I must say they really don't help you. We wanted to go to visit famous Elblag canal but been told they give info only on Gdansk. We enjoyed also evening walk and despite we visited Gdansk in September it was full of tourists. We would like to return back.

A very Special Street
This street is just wonderful, beautiful architecture, amazing bars and places to eat. It is of course very busy, but how could you expect otherwise given that it is such a special place. Dluga Street, generally called ‘Long Lane’ in English guides. The Dluga Street building facades along 550 meters from Green Gate to Golden Gate give the impression of walking through Poland’s ‘Amsterdam’ with its architectural style modeled on early 17th century canal houses. Do not mist Neptunes statue!

Beautiful street
This is a beautiful reconstruction to its original after WWII bombing. In early March there are few tourists so there is not much traffic. All of the store clerks were great and not pushy. Most of the shops are selling amber. On Sunday afternoon, it was mostly sunny with a few light showers, and there were many families out walking with children in strollers, dogs, etc. All of the street mimes, balloon clowns, and musicians were out.
