Amazing Museum in Mexico
This is a must visit if you are in Saltillo for leisure and even if you are on business. Especially for young kids and teens, this museum not only provides a very detailed explanation of the Desert ecosystem and the desert in the context of Mexico, but it also shares an extraordinary collection of authentic dinosaurs' fossils discovered in Coahuila and elsewhere, including two T-Rex complete fossil and a unique fossil of a huge dinosaur found in Mexico, the Velafrons Cohahuilensis. As well as some exciting animatronics of different dinosaurs. Additionally, it provides a complete ethnographic and zoologic overview of Mexican history. Only in NYC or the Smithsonian in DC you can find in one place a similar collection.

Awesome experience at Museo del Desierto.
The experience was simply AMAZING. The explanations given by the tour guides (which in most cases are Paleontologists) were very detailed and thoughtful, the attitude from everyone in the place is very warm, respectful, and in short they all make you live a lifetime experience! It makes you feel very proud as Mexican to know that we have a Museum with this quality and that the way they present it's displays and dioramas are comparable with the one's in London, New York or Chicago. And last but not least, the effort showing a live desert ecosystem made up with rescued animals such as bears, wolfs, bisons, rams, wild boars and many other species as well as endemic plants makes it literally the cherry on the cake! Thank you & Congratulations Museo del Desierto.

Cool museum
This is a very cool museum with dinosaurs and much more! They have fossils and replicas, gemstones, human artifacts, taxidermy, and live animals. It was a lot bigger than I expected and very high quality exhibits. The robot dinos at the end were cheesy but fun. Definitely worth a visit.
