La Laguna Del Nainari, Northern Mexico, Mexico

4.5 (175 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Sonora Bodies of Water

Beautiful place to exercise and watch the sun set.

My husband and I went for a walk at sunset and greatly enjoyed the views. Although the Laguna is set in a busy area, the walking path around the water makes it feel relaxing and it is motivating to go for a nice walk or jog when so many others are doing the same :)

It's amazing the improvements that have been made.
I’ve been visiting Obregon over the last 20 years. Prior to 2010 the small lake was run down. Garbage was everywhere. In the evening runners ran from one dark spot to the next. A lot of hard work was put in to clean up the area. It has paid off. Today not only athletes’ use the area, but you can see small families standing on the wharf and children playing games. Adjacent is what I would describe as a small carnival area. And then just beyond is the sports area. Everything from Indoor Soccer, at least 8 full sized Soccer fields, 3 Volley Ball courts, numerous Baseball fields, and Basketball courts. There is something here for everyone. The people of Obregon can be proud of this oasis in their city.

    Nainari Lagoon
Great spot to be with your family, the ducks are all around looking for trouble! ;) There´s also an amuse park near by, called Ostimuri, full of cool options for kids and adults too.
