Ghetto Fighters Museum (Lohamei HaGetaot Museum), Northern District, Israel

Informative and moving

A very worthwhile visit. For people who have already been to Yad Vashem or who just would find Yad Vashem too overwhelming. This is a more focussed museum and is a little more personal as it was established by survivors who live on the kibbutz. I have wanted to visit here for a long time and I am glad that I had the chance on a recent visit to the Haifa area. It is also very close to Haifa.

A visit to the Ghetto Fighters Museum exceeded all expectations
An exceptional museum about the horrors of the Holocaust. Please give yourself at least three or more hours here. It’s interactive and there are testimonies throughout the museum. You can choose from English Hebrew and other languages to listen to these very personal stories from survivors

    A must see museum!
A must see museum! For some reason many tourists are unaware of this museum as many only go to Yad Vashem. This is such an important place to visit as not only was is built from the incredible survivors of the holocaust, it come from a different perspective and dedicates an exhibition to the resistance fighters during the war. I also found the children's museum particularly emotional and moving.
