In 1894, Isidoros Arvanitis, the persistent perfectionist from Plomari who searches tirelessly to find the ideal ingredients in order to create the perfect recipe for Ouzo, begins his big quest. The best under these circumstances...
Today we went to visit the Plomari factory/museum. I had some doubts about the opening hours in June but I got a very quick response on my email I send about that to be sure. So today we drove from Molyvos to Plomari. As we are big fans of ouzo and especially of ouzo Plomari. A visit inside the museum wasn't possible due to covid. But Myrsini and her colleague Dimitra made the best of it. Showing some videos and some factory objects in the garden. Off course a tasting of ouzo. The possibility to buy something was also given. Myrsini loves the ouzo and Lesvos and that's great!! We thought they made the best of it under these crazy circumstances. Our glass of ouzo Plomari will never taste the same again after this visit!

Enjoyable tour
Really enjoyed the tour. There were 4 nationalities in our group but most understood English and this was not a draw back. Guide was informative, knowledgeable and fun. Only disappointing thing was bought a box set of 1 bottle and 2 glasses but only 1 glass included, beware. Unfortunately didn’t find this out until having returned.
