Pretty amazing what a nice little town

I'm Dutch and have seen al lot of places when I was a kid but this little place I never visited. I was surprised by the beauty of it and the status of the buildings which are over 350 years old. Visit this place it is very nice.

    Charming little town
This is a really nice little town. Full of beautifully maintained all houses. Very quite, at least in June. They have several restaurants and cafes. The surroundings are also beautiful. Full of farms, canals... I would recommend it.

Nice boat ride in a cute little town
The boat tour we did last year. There were 4 of us plus the very talkative owner of the boat who steered the boat through the small city and the Eilandspolder. The trip was about an hour and a half through some awesome nature. Somewhere along the way we stopped and got out of the boat to have a look at the old town hall (1613) of Graft, a neighboring town. All in all it was a very interesting boat ride. We learned a lot. We revisited this last August to explore the little town a bit more. An amazing thing is that, back in the middle ages, when it still had access to open water, it was one of the more important herring fishing and whaling towns in the Netherlands. This shows when you look at the impressive buildings. The old town is very small and has only a few streets some of which are very narrow. The whole area around De Rijp is beautiful. Go visit!!!
