Beautiful fishing village
We made the right choice by visiting Volendam. It was about 30 mins ride by bus from Amsterdam centraal station. Very easy to take the bus. We took the bus 316 and stop at the center of Volendam. And then we walked about 10 mins to reach the Marina. The seascape view of the Marina was stunning. The sky suddenly became clear and we got the sun. The place became commercial right now having the mixed between gift shops and cafe and restaurants. We just tried out the fresh seafood that was sold at the road side. The fried cod fish was really impressive especially the cold winter. I would highly recommend to try it if you are there. You won't be regretted. We slowly move our pave through the street from one side to the other side while enjoying the fantastic view. Stopped for a cup of coffee and snack was one of the thing we did during our visited in Marina Volendam.

Beautiful marina, fishing village & tourist haven
A trip to Marina Volendam, sightseeing in its fishing village, taking the Volendam Marken Express to Marken, and sightseeing in Marken makes for a cool outing. There are many nice boats in the marina, and it was nice sightseeing in Volendam. The town on Markermeer Lake has the wooden houses painted in traditional Dutch colours. It is a fishing village, with lots of vendors selling fresh seafood. The marina is home to many Dutch fishing vessels. Many of the locals dress in traditional Volendam clothing, likely for the sightseers, who contribute a lot to the local economy. The village is famous for its cheese factory and museum, where you can learn some of the local history of Volendam cheese-making, and purchase some of its cheese. Volendam’s bronze statues make for great photo ops.

Relaxing!
This marina is so relaxing. Boats are frequently arriving and departing. Amazing to see how well these captain's can maneuver their ship. The marina itself is surrounded by shops and restaurants and makes for a great view while dining.
