A great experience of shrimp fishing
From the harbor of Oudeschild on the island of Texel, a fishing ship departure almost daily for a 2 hour cruise on the Wadden Sea. During the cruise the fishing nets will be lower and pulled along the bottom of the sea When raised, the wonderful underwater sea life will be exposed when starfishes, shrimps, crabs, walrus and many more will be released from the nets. After a short explanation from the ships captain, all but the shrimps will be returned to the sea (the unlucky shrimps will end in boiling water). Our kids (4 and 6 years old) were amazed by the cruise.

Great time out: recommended for all
The ship is sailing on the 'waddenzee', giving a great time to all participants on board. The duration is precisely right (2 hrs)... a short catching of some shrimps, and then the sorting (which is great fun for kids) and preparing shrimps for instant eating. Crew is well humoured and make a real effort. We also had great weather which makes it lots of fun.

Really great experience!
The team on the ship was really great, funny and informative - we enjoyed so much being on the ship. And the "garnalen" were super-tasty! (We even learned how to "open" them ;-) ) We are already thinking about when we can do this another time ...
