At the end of July me,my partner and his family (cousin with husband) decided to visit Texel. On the way back,we stopped our car and this nice place. We were without any child but we had fun and we spent a good afternoon there. The zelfpluktuin has a parking space, there’s also a small shop, you can buy some products made of their own fruits and flowers or drink cup of coffee/ tea/ eat ice cream and take a rest and,of course, pay for what you have in your plastic basket. Everything looks very clean and nice inside the building and in the gardens. It is your time, take a walk around the garden,take/ taste what you like, enjoy the contact with nature and pick up the fruits/ vegetables/ flowers. There’s nothing better than nature and healthy, fresh food. We found tomatoes, strawberries and some another fruits, very tasty. The best snoeptomatjes ever! We really want to recommend this place. You see what you eat. We would like to have the same kind of garden in every country. Thanks for nice time.

    So glad we stopped in!
We visited in early July. We came at the wrong time for picking strawberries, but we certainly enjoyed eating them in the cafe! The variety of berries on this farm is astounding; we would love to come back later in the season, as well. The berry smoothie in the cafe was fantastic, as were the ice creams and other snacks. A very attractive place, with gardens and picnic tables and some very funny chickens - all in all, an absolute delight. Thank you!
