The Vincent van GoghHuis is an arts centre built on the native soil of one of the most famous artists in history. It’s not a traditional museum but an active world of experiences, for art lovers as well as tourists. It offers an agitating presentation about the life and works of Vincent van Gogh and interactive education.The permanent exhibition ‘Vincent van Gogh – The roots of a master’ tells the story of Vincent's youth in Zundert. The temporary exhibitions are all about artists of the 20th and 21st century who are inspired by the work and life of Vincent van Gogh.The Van Gogh Documentation Centre is all about education and research. Students and scholars can use its archive and extensive collection of books. Our research team will also give short presentations about their research. For further tourist information you can visit the Tourist Information Office (VVV) in the Van GoghHuis. And our lovely café/restaurant is perfect for indulging in a nice cup of coffee or a delicious meal.

Great artist born in a small town
I was surprised when i saw the plaque on the wall of the house in Zundert where Van Gogh was born. The locals take it for granted so if we had not stopped to read the plaque we would have walked by. The house was not open to visitors but we walked down the street a bit to the protestant church where Van Gogh's father was Minister. The church is small probably because Catholicism is the main religion in this part of the Netherlands. Worth seeing.

A must for art experts
Van Gogh museum is a very specified exhibition , as except from the paintings of the innovative artist, many other items of Vincent's personal life are displayed. Without any degradation, Van Gogh's museum can be missed, but only in the case where you are not an art enthusiast. If you are even just a small art enthusiast then i certainly recommended it.
