I didnt know this was still excisting but in this factory they still make woodenshoes every day. Beautiful to see and they even have a little shop. www.deklompenhandel.nl gives more info.

An original wooden shoe factory
As we were leaving the friendly, quiet and quaint town of Liempde after a great stay at a local farm, we stopped at the Traa Klompenfabriek - a wooden shoe factory run by the Traa family for over 3 generations. The owner was very gracious and she showed us how the poplar wooden shoes are made and then we were able to browse their store, buying a lovely pair of wooden shoes for half of what you'd pay elsewhere (around 18 Euro). And the experience to boot, well that's priceless!

Not open to Tourists
This is a working factory which does not offer tours. The owner who has been in business for many generations did not list this attraction.
