See the angel on the cellphone on the square side

A treasure inside and out. Too much to take in. If you are very interested there are guides sometimes (not sure how this works, just saw them). The stained windows, the architecture, peace inside and just the general feel make this a must see to me, Don't miss the climb if you can get tickets in summer (hugely popular). The organ is often missed by tourist, just look and absorb. There are little (and big) treasures around every corner, take your time. Remember to respect the various services, this is a working church.

Unique cathedral with beautifu4l interior and exterior
One of two cathedrals in the world that has these statues on the arches, the only one where the statues look up. If you are lucky and they have the roof open in summer, do it. It is truly a sight to behold. The interior is richly decorated and the windows are breathtaking. The entrance from the market has a window that has a panel dedicated to WWII, enter and look back and up. The Maria chapel is still heavily used, with various saints along the walls. Have a look at the wood engravings all along the sides.

    Lovely cathedral
Visited with friends and family. It’s a lovely big cathedral well worth a visit. The nativity however is very bizarre and slightly disconcerting. As well as the usual expected items such as the holy family, shepherds, sheep etc, there are all manner of stuffed dead animals just randomly hanging around. Zebras giraffes cats guinea pigs, you name it, it’s there along with the scene of Jesus’s birth. I’d be surprised if any of these animals are native to the Bethlehem area. We found it very odd and suggest they stick to the usual animals rather than just plonk in every dead stuffed animal they could find.
