Reservation is necessary (webiste) Reptielenhuis de Aarde is the first official zoo of Breda. This mini-zoo is specialised in holding and caring for reptiles. The first impression of this miniature zoo is that everything is very clean and child friendly. Children get the chance to pet or even hold some animals, also every question will be answered by the animal carer. The enclosures are bigger than you normally see in a zoo. Great place to visit when in Breda
The environment of the reptile house is beautiful, makes you present and enjoy the time spent there. The care taker Jim was very nice, explained everything, and answered all the questions. It was a very good time

A very pleasant visit
A very well maintained reptile house with many snakes, lizards and turtles. Not the biggest one but enough for me to spend 90 minutes. Feeding giant turtles with salad was my highlight. The place is spotless clean, without bad odours, the size of enclosures is sufficient for most animals and the staff is friendly. The place is a bit too far away to walk from Breda centre but with the local busses you can reach the place in 15 minutes.
