Great lessons and bar/ restaurant

We visited here during our stay at Centerparcs. Our boys (12 & 9) have never skied before so we booked a beginners group lesson but now wish we’d booked the midweek package. The instructor Janneke was enthusiastic and fun. It was a quiet week so no other customers - they basically got a private lesson. She built their confidence up so that after just one hour they could traverse (tentatively) from the top all the way down the beginner slope. Great value for money, really recommend. We had dinner in the restaurant overlooking the slope which I think is a really cosy place. The pizzas and burger were great. One meal wasn’t good but this was refunded when I explained the problem - really good service. Overall - great value with fabulous staff, would definitely go again.

    Good experience for beginners
Our children, 8 and 10 tried skiing for the first time here during our stay at center parcs. It was easy to find and well organised; a group of 7 children, all English aged from 6 to about 12 were grouped together with an instructor. She was very nice and enthusiastic and on day one, got them snow ploughing down from about half way you the slope. It was -3 inside and we had taken our own salopettes and jackets, gloves and socks etc but they could be humited otherwise for a fee. They really enjoyed it and were happy to go again for day 2. Day 2 was a bit more chaotic, with several groups all using the same travelator up to the slope which caused some delays and congestion with the newer skiers falling off etc. I did feel that they should have had an additional instructor for their group on that day as it was difficult for our one to teach and pick people up from the bottom of the slope at the same time. However they finished day 2 with a race from the top of the slope and really enjoyed the experience, they want to carry in skiing, so clearly were happy with it.

A nice surprise! An active week without having to put any effort into organising
First time to a Centerparcs and didn’t know what it was going to be like but it ticked lots of boxes for us and the kids (10 & nearly 13) had an amazing time. So good to not get in the car for 5 days. We made the most of all the free activities and facilities and paid for a couple extra. We brought our own bikes as had heard it was sometimes hard to book, and to save some ££. We paid for our first ski experience in Montana, expensive but worth it for the introduction. The accommodation was comfortable apart from the random two singles pushed together as a double in both rooms, and single duvets for all. We loved the Aqua Mundo, the mini farm and animal feeding, the otters, the Hang Out, and the parkour. We booked the evening buffet in Evergreenz which was delicious. All staff were friendly. One of the influences for choosing Der Kempervennen was that it has been renovated. I would recommend. Only 3 hours from Eurotunnel too.
