Trappist beers are the best
This really is a tasting room 'avant la lettre' as the Dutch call it. Ten great Trappist beers on the menu and wonderful food nd snacks to go with it. You ca sit both indoors as well as outdoors. I understand that the Trappist monks still have quite a say in which beers will be brewed every year. They do a great job. You are served by a great staff of young people at this Proeflokaal ...... and always with a smile.

The tour is in Dutch!
An obligatory tour for the lovers of beer! But attention! The tour is in dutch the whole way! We couldn't understand a word the guide said, however we're given handbooks for the tour. We paid for the snacks & beer tour, but we suggest the beer tour. Less expensive and if you want to eat, get through the menu. The souvenir shop is awesome. Very cheap! The guides, although aiming for the local, are attentive. We love it!
