Nice gardens
Nice little walk around the gardens once I have found the entrench which is around the back next to the canal. Good mix of formal and cottage garden. Shame no coffee shop or way to see inside the castle. Gardens not open at weekends. Strange.

Closed
Nice castle, but closed to the public, are still able to walk around, beautiful surroundings, poultry not afraid of passers-by, a place suitable for a walk with the whole family.

you can only visit the garden, not the castle
The garden that belong with the castle can be visited (free) during weekdays between 9am and 4pm, but the building is off limits. It is not owned or ocupied (...) by the Dutch army but is owned by a regional water authority.
