Great theater

For a local theater there is a great variety of shows. You need to make sure the show is suitable for your family. Choices run to very family friendly to adult. The summer arts program is excellent. Kids put on a show at the end of the period. Great talent, There are also several visiting artists throughout the year. I've seen plays I did not care for, but they were done very well. I encourage you to check out available shows.

    Fine Theater
    The Sooner Theater is a long time fixture in Norman. All kinds of local productions are shown here. It is very quaint and rustic, but the acoustics and systems are superior. For most productions, you have to get advanced tickets, but it is worth it. Parking is not ample, but there is good amount of parking area available on the west side of the railroad tracks.

    Smaller Theatre with Fun Options
    My friends and I come here for the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween almost every year. Its a super fun event which is heightened by hosting it in the theatre with a stage in front of the showing with live actors and balcony seating. Its always a great time!
