Fabulous museum
Located within the boundaries of the Yinchuan Rock Art this museum is an absolute must. Designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Chinese architect the building built in 2015 is beautifully integrated into the surrounding mountains. Artwork from celebrated artist Han Meilin are skilfully exhibited inside using plenty of natural daylight thanks to the building windows configuration. Do not miss this exceptional arts combination in stunning natural surroundings.

Very informative...An out standing surprise !!!
From the Rock Art of Helan Mountain, the battery car took us to this 3-story Hanmeilin Art Museum Yinchuan. The architecture of this building correspond with its surrounding magnificient natural environment and the majestic Helan Mountain. It has an exhibition hall, a interactive zone, a creative zone and tourist service areas; with multiple functions such as exhibition, tutorials and leisure activities. The exhibition hall, based on the features of the contents of the exhibits, are divided into multiple zones, artworks of various types are organized in featured exhibition spaces. The exhibit includes an exclusive biography of the Artist HanMeiLin himself illustrating his relationship with folk art. On display too are highlights of his artwork's inspired by the rock paintings, such as porcelains, wood carvings, wrought iron, paintings etc which are made to reproduce the bold and rustic nature of rock painting in various folk art forms. Wish that we have more time to spent at Hanmeilin Art Museum Yinchuan viewing through his exceptional art & nature creations !!!

Comes (as a must) with the rock paintings
It is so different from the rock-paintings but due to the location and the distnce from town anyone visits both. We found it rather boring and just went straight through it, as it is on the way out.
