Truly unbelievable scenery
The scenery is breathtaking- Jurassic Park esque! I cannot get over how huge these hills were- my jaw was on the floor most of the boat ride. The info along the way was super informative. Then, just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better our guide (musician K.J. Hollahan) pulled out his guitar for a spontaneous kitchen party on the boat on the way back. This tour is worth every cent and would 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting the west coast/Gros Morne. Get on KJ’s boat if you can!!

Bon Tours fjord boat tour is not to be missed
One of the highlights of our vacation in Newfoundland. The 3 km walk from the parking lot is easy and wheelchairs are available from the park if needed. It was a windy day and we were worried the tour might be cancelled but the weather made it a better experience, a little foggy. Fantastic scenery and wonderful commentary pointing out the various sites we should notice. On the way back our guide took out his guitar and sang traditional Newfoundland folk songs to further enrich our experience. A must do when in Gros Morne Park. Make reservations early.

Impressive View
The fjord is really something to behold. This boat tour is the only way for most people to have a close look, and yes it’s impressive. However, the two hour boat ride is an hour too long, and they pack the boats, so it’s definitely not a pleasure cruise. The walk in is easy and only 20-30 min if you have no mobility issues, but there is no shade at all so be prepared on hotter days. There are ~6 dog cages behind the cafe building that you can rent, but reserve ahead of time (they give you a lock). Overall, I’m glad we went, but not something I’d do again. A walk to the dock and back is probably sufficient for a view of the gorge.
