Pioneer Park
This huge, green, picturesque park runs along the Tumut River. Early in the morning it is amazing to enjoy the peace while listen to the river running soothingly by, reading a book and listening to the day come to life. You will see bike riders, dog walkers, all friendly and bidding 'good morning', the dogs are everyone's friends, such a warm, welcoming community. Families come with strollers, skates, bikes and balls and to enjoy picnics and the children's playground.

A definite must see in Tumut
I visited Tumut River just after a few days of rain so the river is really flowing. It was absolutely incredible to watch how quickly the water was moving and how high it was but it was just really beautiful. Can actually do a river walk and I did that many times.

Tranquility in Tumut
This park walk was really special in the winter evenings. We loved walking along the river and then around the racetrack with beautiful sunsets colouring the surrounding mountains pink. It was so peaceful listening to the water birds and the frogs. The people of Tumut should be very proud of themselves for creating this lovely space.
