Elvis is alive at the Henry Parkes Centre
Not growing up in the era of Elvis, I was curious as to what was included in the museum, For $10 it gave me entry to the Elvis Museum and the Car museum, and the entry fee allows you to come back the next day if you wanted. I was pleasantly surprised with the Elvis museum, there was alot of Elvis related memorabilia and lots of interesting stories included in the displays. Even if your not an Elvis fan it is still worth checking it out. And you are allowed to take photos (no flash). I would love to take my mum through this museum. This then leads into the car museum with alot of old fashioned cars form different years, it is a great stroll down memory lane (and not being a huge car fan I really enjoyed it) This is all within the Vistors centre so the lady on reception was extremely helpful with other things to do in the area, there is also a souvenir shop. We also grabbed an ice cream from the shop and sat outside in the beautiful garden to eat it. There are some other museums on site but time was against us so we couldnt look through them. Please give me a helpful vote if you enjoyed my review. Thanks

When you visit, make sure you visit both the Museum (on the right), and the Parkes Centre (on the left). The Museum showcases knickknacks from the town which belonged to locals. It also has historical pieces and articles of the town, especially about the radio telescope. You can also head outside to see heavy machinery and remnants of the old school - it's like traveling back in time but seeing a computer sitting at the front. A real anachronism. The centre showcased cars and Elvis memorabilia belonging the the original Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page. You can visit inside the replica building of where Henry Parkes was born (in England). I recommend you stop by, even for a short break, to support the town, the locals, and find out more about this historic town. Staff were very kind and friendly. There are toilet facilities.
