Welcoming Clubhouse - New PKs Restaurant
The clubhouse is a light, airy place with a green outlook across the golf course. Its an unassuming, low-key venue but is a pleasant place to have a drink. Staff are helpful and friendly and are welcoming to out-of-towners. The restaurant has changed hands a few times and has had its ups and downs. We ate there recently and new owners had just moved from up Sydney to take over here. A small, temporary menu only was being offered while they settled in. I had a chicken parmigiana with prawn and avocado which was OK but was probably not a fair representation of what will be their normal, full menu. The new owner came out to check that we’d enjoyed our meals which was a nice touch and she explained that they plan to offer traditional Australian clubhouse meals alongside Korean dishes so we will definitely try it again another time.

Disappointed
"We never open on Mondays". Then why does your website and Facebook say open for lunch and dinner 7 days? Please fix. Any 12 year old can do the job. First the good news. The vegetarian lasagnewith chips and a small salad on special was quite nice. But fairly limited menu. Sitting outside on the terrace a pleasant spot. Prawns and oyster plate on the menu not available. On Valentine's Day!!! One gets the impression they make so much money in holiday periods they do not need to try too hard. Bar staff very pleasant and efficient.

Check everything
Booked in for 18 holes with a cart for a 2.30 start, were kept waiting whilst members made their way around the course even though there were at least 30 minutes at times between groups, being members of another club we would have let them play through if they had managed to catch us up. Added to this when we did finally tee off after 3pm we were not told the cart had to be back at 5.30 so had a visit from the pro shop 5 holes from the end saying in had to be returned so couldn't finish our round. He would have known when we teed off there was no chance of finishing 18 and should have offered either of refund of 9 holes or the use of a hand buggy. Didn't bother with the restaurant as the check in was so slow it wasn't worth the wait.
