    Experience a sheep shearing
A great experience and lots of information about our shearing history in Australia, with lots to look at plus a live sheep shearing. The gift shop has a lot of stock and the cafe has a great range to choose from at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking as well

A great way to understand first hand the impact of the wool industry
A reminder of the history and impact of the wool industry in the country. Shear Outback does a very good job in presenting the history of shearing in Australia. The museum is about 20 years old and many of the displays quote numbers that are well and truly outdated. This was my only criticism - it could do with a sweep through the signages and the explanations to bring them up to current times. Putting that aside they did a great job of sharing the Shearing experience. Each day a shearer gives a demonstration in the real Shearing Shed (adjacent to the actual museum). We enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to talk to him about his experiences and to hear firsthand his stories. We happily spent the best part of 3 hours in the museum before adjourning to the cafe for lunch.
