Accommodation for 6 in 1912 quaint fully self-contained Murray Pine Cottage. Guided tours for day visitors: choice of several sites: 1886 Heritage Listed Homestead of 23 rooms (2 hours), 400 hectare pristine species-rich native bushland, 1876 Wattle & Daub Selector's Hut, 1912 Woolshed & Quarters, 88 hectare Lignum Wetland, Aboriginal cultural sites, Antique Machinery Shed, 1890s Boundary Rider's Hut, Landcare projects. One of the best parts of my trip!
I was given a personal tour by Ann Sloane and had a great time! Ann has so much knowledge and passion for what she does. The farm has everything for everyone. I saw little lambs and they're absolutely adorable, saw at least 20 Kangaroos, a few Wallabies, countless birds... At one point, I was standing at The Homestead (a cottage farmstay), looking out the forest, it was profoundly peaceful and quiet. It was serene and tranquil...I had never experienced anything like that before. When I came back to the States, I showed the photos to my friends and they were so jealous, it was pretty funny. It's an experience that I'll never forget and a must see when you're in Australia. Boat Rock Tour
This was a total highlight. Ann took us on a wonderful tour of this fascinating aboriginal historic site. Ann has a passion for this site and has a great depth of knowledge and ability to communicate its many facets in a compelling way. We recommend this tour unreservedly. We look forward to doing the tour of Savernack station with Ann.
