    Enjoyable wetlands
In contrast to other reviewers, by November 2021, the lagoon had filled and was most attractive, with quite a few birds observed even though we visited in the middle of the day, rather than dawn or dusk. The toilets were clean but sagaciously hidden from the picnic facilities. There was a good map. A credit to the Guyra community, who by the way are hardworking and produce export income for Australia as well as helping to satisfy our need for food and fibres.

Excellent Free Camping on the Edge of Wetland Nature Reserve
Very picturesque park on the edge of wetlands with amazing sunset and an abundance of birdlife. A lovely walking track of about 2.5km with covered viewing platforms and outdoor fitness stations. There is a designated free camping area with room for approximately 10 caravans, non powered sites. Very clean and quiet. Well maintained flushing toilets with cold water taps and a dump site. No showers. Pet friendly. Campers restricted to one overnight stay only. The local bowling club is a short stroll from campsite. It serves well priced bistro type food. Great place to break a journey. Recommended.
