Refreshing on a hot day
I love Orange. There is just so much to do from beautiful cool climate wineries like Colmar Estste and Rowlee Wines, to the boutiques and speciality shops, to nature walks and scenery Orange offers plenty. One of my favourites is Lake Canobolas which on a hot day offers two beach areas for swimming.

Pretty picturesque park
We enjoyed an easy walk around the lake. The toilets were clean. Plenty of spots for a picnic. We were disappointed that the cafe was not open both times we visited the lake even though social media sites indicated it would be open.

avoid cafe at all costs
lake area is beautiful - some nice walking tracks. the man running the cafe on the morning of sat 15th may was one of the rudest individuals we have encountered for a long time.after witnesssing him being dismissive and rude to a group of elderly people,he was then also rude to us - we took our morning tea business elsewhere.he really needs to look for another job - customer service and hospitality is definiteley not his thing!
