Junee Roundhouse Museum, New South Wales, Australia

Excellent displays, great volunteer staff. Definitely a 'Must Do' in Junee
We started our visit with great model railway and then into the Roundhouse to check out the various engines, etc. I found the Accident Response train the most interesting.. The place is run by extremely knowledgeable volunteers who are more than happy to share stories and information about all the exhibits. It was great to be able to ‘board’ many of the carriages and some excellent restoration work has been carried out. A good place for everyone to visit with plenty of information boards and signs. Highly recommended for an hour, or so. Unfortunately, the café was closed on the day of our visit.

Unexpected unique museum
we weren't sure what to expect but were absolutely surprised by the historical importance of this incredible part of Junee's story. The entrance fee is modest and well worth it for the volunteer run museum. The collection of trains here is remarkable and bought back memories of trains I travelled on in the 70s. This museum really should receive funding to help maintain a unique chapter of our history.
