Very positive experience
Two options. The first is free, which is the outside area, which has a boardwalk through the mangroves, a fishpond where you can feed fish and various boats to look at. Walk through the mangroves was worth the visit even if we hadn’t done anything else. The second option includes the first but costs an entrance fee, namely visiting the museum. Well worth doing. Large exhibits such as the Lady Denman ferry but lots of well presented material. A very substantial regional museum. Good gift shop with local indigenous crafts. We spent 2 hours and could have taken longer.

Great local museum
We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around this museum. It has a fantastic display about the history of the Jervis Bay Area, including its indigenous peoples, it’s Naval and Maritime history, it’s relationship with the Commonwealth and it’s boat building heritage. It houses a full sized retired Sydney ferry - the Lady Denman - that was built in the local area. It was great to be able to look at the whole ferry and read about its history. The museum is staffed by volunteers and currently has a reasonable entry price of $10 per adult.
