Wonderful Camping Spot
Just 4 km out from Condobolin, Gum Bend Lake is a fabulous free camping spot. When we were here a number of years ago the lake was full and there were boats out fishing . We were so stunned when we arrived this time that there was only a very small area with water. There is a live walk around the lake and you can stay for up to 14 days. There are gas bbqs and a fabulous covered kid’s playground. The best thing about the spot is that the nice and clean amenities not only have toilets but hot showers. There is a spot to make a donation to help maintain the facility which you don’t mind.

Gum Bend Lake Free Camp
A really great, safe and free campground. Up to 14 days camping. The lake is empty at the moment, but camp area is still really nice. Plenty of level and flat sites. No power. Easily accessible in any vehicle and suitable for any caravan or motor home size. Highly recommended.

An absolutely brilliant free camp
Although this camp is free it has facilities that compare with some of the charging camp sites. Free, hot showers, toilets and garbage bins. Site is clean and the lakeside is mown and delightful. Close to the river for fishing. Bird watching is great too. I felt a need to donate and go into town for food etc. Well done Condobolin.
