Amazing views!
Tickets are only sold 24 hours in advance and will sell out quickly. I set my alarm for 2 a.m. the day before our planned visit. I got 4 tickets for the 9-11 a.m. tram, but by 7 a.m. all the tickets for that time slot were sold out. When we were leaving, there was a long line to get aboard the tram, which holds 50 people. We attempted to have lunch at the café, but there was a 2 hour wait for a table. We did the short loop hike and found several spots for scenic photographs.

Can't say I loved Albuquerque that much, but Sandia Tramway was well worth the price and time. These tickets can only be purchased online 24 hours in advance. I highly recommend you make reservations to the restaurant at the top ahead of time. It'll help with wait times as its a very busy place. Reserved early evening in October before sunset which was beautiful. The tram ride is longer than you expect and it's pretty fun. The conductor tells a bit of a story with jokes and its definitely entertaining. Views at the top are amazing. Sunset was spectacular. We had a delicious dinner as well.
