This museum is a bargain at $6 admission price
This museum is located in a mall in the downtown area. It has 3 floors with exhibits. The top floor has paintings and other miscellaneous items. The 2nd floor contains natural science exhibits. However, the ground floor exhibits are the ones I found the most interesting. They cover the industrial development of the city and province from the 19th century. There are exhibits covering logging and shipbuilding. There are also a lot of heavy machinery from that era including steam engines, a printing press, a machine used in making beer, drill presses, and other heavy industrial machinery. Black & white photos and explainations help to make the exhibits interesting to the visitor.

    Very interested
I very much recommend visiting this museum, even though the 3rd floor was closed and some sections of the first floor were under repair. The first floor has a good exhibition of the early activities new brunwickers used to do. You can see all the original tools they used for forestry, farming and ship building. The part of ship building is just amazing. They discribe the process in a high detail. They even have samples of the different wood types that go in different parts of the ship. The second floor is also very good. It has multiple fossils of large mammals that used to live in the region during the last ice age. It also has a very complete collection of birds typically found mostly in the bay of Fundy
