Squeeze climb paddle through cave boulders

Very beautiful and a physical challenge. Worth going to but be prepared to get wet and wear water shoes. Cover your knees for an easier crawl and wear flexible clothing as it is wet, sandy and narrow spaces and holes need to be squeezed through. I went with a school group (G7&8) and we all loved it. Challenging for some but the guides are really helpful and planned challenging routes through but accommodated routes for others who physically needed a different way.

    Exploration into the Mystery cave
This place is call Batu Maloi because of a local legend that a guardian spirit called Maloi lives in the mountain which use to borrow dining set to the local villages for any wedding event. But once an incident happened that the villages made the Maloi mad and disappear. The place that Maloi used to live had become a huge rock. Our tour guide told us that some people seen Maloi before in the guise of an old man. The second mystery about the cave is at the top of the cave, there is a blur image looks like buddha on a rock surface which is form after water dripping onto the rock surface. Let's stop about the legendary tales and talk about my experience exploring the cave. MUST get a guide (ranger) and plan the trip earlier. The chief ranger is a retired football national player for Malaysia with lots of experience hiking experience and certify ranger. He'll coordinate with local authorities to file a report and weather forecast. This measures is crucially important because the journey need to some "natural tunnels" with water flowing through. Raining may flood the tunnel at a water level not safe for exploration. The ranger told us there 7 paths of exploring the cave which is categories in difficulty. Since we are a group of guys, he suggest us for level 3. This is a very good activity for team building as everyone need to take care each other along the journey. We form a line and follow the guide which you need to follow the person infront and take care of the person behind. Our "train" broke off once and those left behind got lost for a while. Luckily the guide noticed and found us, leading us back to the correct path. Besides, there are many extreme spot which require you supporting your friend climb up or pull from above. TIPS: 1. Bring torch light wrapped with plastic wrapper. Preferably headlamp as there will be lots of crawling, climbing and stretching. 2. Shoes suitable for hiking (recommend rubber shoe which can find in normal hardware shop that cost around RM8), The ranger are sell on spot with not much size at RM10. 3. Waterproof camera if you have one. Else wrap your camera phone with plastic wrapper. At least bring a camera as there are many interesting and beautiful spot for photos. 4. Strap your spectacles securely as the ranger had experience people lost it before and flow away with the streams. 5. No need carry along any water as you can enjoy pure natural mountain water which is safe for drinking at one of the top spot of the cave. 6. Advisable to wear long pants for protection when crawling i the cave.
