Cascada de Xorroxin, Navarra, Spain

4.5 (101 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Gorostapolo Waterfalls

Very nice hike to a beautiful waterfall

The hike to Xorroxin was very nice - starts at the village with some nice animals to pet, and then continues for about an hour or maybe two to the waterfall. Not difficult and worth it for sure!

Pleasant walk in nature in the company of other humans
This is an easy walk of some 7.5 km there and back, with the rather beautiful Xorroxin waterfall being the point where you turn back . It is a very popular walk, so, as of July 1st, 2021, the local people of Erratzu (the village where you start and finish the walk) have set up a zero charge, online booking system for parking. The locals are fed up with tourist invasions , but I do not see how they can control this, as, whether or not you book a parking space, you can still park anywhere in the village. I wish them well. The walk itself is lovely, but I would not recommend it for anyone who wishes to commune with nature in solitude. There are just too many people on the trail! I know many more beautiful walks in Navarra where you will often not encounter anyone.
