Kel Suu - worth of the effort
Gorgeous Lake Kel-Suu was formed thousands years ago due to destruction of the mountain massif. It is located in Kok-Kiya valley (3 520 m), Naryn region, close to the border with China. Particular highlight of trip to the lake is splendid views on the way: At-bashi range, Eki-Naryn canyon (two rivers confluence Small Naryn and Naryn, Koshoi-Korgon fortress of VIII-X century, At-bashy village.

An amazing lake!
Difficult to reach, but worth it. Kel-Suu lake is one of the highest lakes in the world. You need minimum 2 days to visit the lake and there are a few yurt camps close the lake. As Kel-Suu is located between high mountains and the path is not asphalt we recommend you to go there on 4x4 car. There are several travel companies such as CBT-Naryn, CBT-Kochkor, Kyrgyz Riders and Shepherd's Life etc. By the way the lake is almost on the border with Cine you need a permit for border zone.

5 days trip from Bishkek
Lake Kel-Suu is considered one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Kyrgyzstan. You need border permissins to come here, Our permits made by Mega Tour company, it was included for tour package. There is a lot of options to go, Our itinerary: Day 1: Bishkek to Naryn 6 hours, this day we slept in guesthose. En route we stopped a lot to make a picture. Day 2. Naryn to kel suu lake via Kok kya pass, but this day we didint go because wheather was raining, from yurt cmp to the lake 3 hours go and back. Day 3. Early morning we went by walking, possible by horse. After lunch we went back to Kochkor. Day 4. Kochkor to Chong kemin valley, hiking to Kok moinok canyon. Stayed in a guesthouse Day 5. Chong Kemin to Bishkek, Burana tower. This day we did PCR test in Bishkek. Result get t night 2am electronic variant. I oved this 5 days, I saw real kyrgyz life, Kygyz foods, culture, horse riding. Company organized everything very well.
