Interesting and worth visiting
Tom was an excellent tour guide who talked us through the tour. He started with the background and history, showed us the antique farming equipment (which I was happy to hear was going to be restored, I believe as a gift from the Danish embassy in 2022). We then went through the house, which impressively holds quite a few original pieces from Karen, Baron, and Denys F.H. Afterward he showed us the kitchen, and gave some more information out on the lawn before we saw the coffee machinery. There were of course a few local sellers of art and objects, which we supported, but felt were very overpriced (even for locals). This is always a bit of a downside, as these are things people visiting will want to buy at other places they visit, not at a museum. Very worth experiencing while in Nairobi, and easy to go from here to the giraffes.

A fully guided tour.
The Karen Blixen Museum is a very interesting and worthwhile tour. A guide is included in the very cheap entrance fee and our guide was extremely knowledgable and made the tour so much more enjoyable! Having never watched the film 'Out of Africa' made no difference to the enjoyment of this tour. It is full of fascinating facts about Karen's life and the things she strived to and succeeded in doing. Worth a visit.
