Please note that since 2018 there are 4 ski lifts connecting Kobi and Gudauri, open also in the summer (july-Sept)
We were counting on the four lifts from Gudauri to Kobi for a short hike in the Gudauri recreational area and while no clear opening dates for the lift system was available online, many travellers insisted it is open all year round. Well - it is not. Opens in mid July, closes on Sept. 30th and reopens for Ski with the snow in December. It is well worth your finding out before making summer hiking plans as it is expected to be a great experience with kids.
