Its miracle to see two colors river flowing together without mixing each other. Must visit place if you are planning to visit Georgia. Aragvi river there is rafting but during winter its too cold for this activity.

    Black & white Aragvi River .. We stopped here while we back from Gudauri to Tiblisi.. And we planned for raffling here but we missed it due to some reason..

    Mixing of two rivers with different colored waters
    Saw the river on two occassions - once on a tour from Tbilisi to Kazbegi and other time from the Jvari monastery. From the military highway, it looks like a normal mountain stream. However, the best view is from the Jvari monastery where it meets the Mtkvari. You can see the two rivers of different colors - one black (actually a muddy grey) and one white meeting and then proceeding as one. The difference in colors is due to the different mineral contents of the two rivers. It is a beautiful sight and definitely worth a short photo stop while visiting the monastery.
