I loved spending the day here. You can get authentic old world food in the Wallachian village as you explore the old buildings and enjoy nature. Some farm animals and people in costumes show up here and there. Definitely worth it to visit all of the attractions there, but plan on a full day. Food, concerts, craftspeople. There's no shortage of things to do here and it's a bit of a time warp. Very popular and parking can be tough, but it's the fastest way to get out to this remote location. I used Sixt rentals from the airport in Brno. Took a solid 2.5 hours of driving from Brno via route 50. Faster and just as scenic via E462 but there are a few tolls.

Nice walk through the history
We visited the museum in winter and although most of the buildings were closed, in the Wooden town (Dřevěné městečko) you can see some interiors. I definitely recommend to eat inside the Valašská vesnice where you can try local historical specialities in stylish pub.For children there is livestock. Nice is also the exposition comparing the history and modern date.
