Long road trip from Ca. But ❤️ It!
I’ve been going to Wade Lake with my family since I was young child. I took a ride trip with my kids from Ca. A couple years ago and the lake and campgrounds haven’t changed one bit! It’s a beautiful, peaceful lake and campground.

Beautiful mountain lake
Wade Lake is absolutely beautiful. Definitely remote. They have a wonderful campground and the fishing is great.

The climb is worth it!
Lots of families with joyful, screaming children along one of the beaches, but a kayak rental place allowed us to paddle away to pristine quiet waters :-) The water really is turquoise blue and crystal clear. I would give it a perfect score, but the rough trail down to the 'yaks is tough on anyone with balance or physical issues.
