somewhat daunting road but beautiful area

Bear Tooth Pass is well worth a trip just to experience the scenery. The road is superbly engineered and traverses some very steep slopes.

Bear tooth Pass
We went there mainly to drive over the Pass. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. Reward with beautiful lakes.

Wow! Just jaw-droppingly gorgeous!
The Beartooth Hwy should be on every person's bucket list. The August was my third time driving it, and I still am stunned by it's beauty. Take it all the way to Cooke City and have lunch at the Beartooth Cafe and visit the Visitor Information house and museum at the end of town. Drive it from Red Lodge to Cooke City. You'll be so glad you did.
