A Very Good Museum
This small museum in an old building contains a fine collection of art from the Jesuit reductions and churches-mostly very fine wood sculptures.

Lots of religious statues
This is a small museum but it is a gem for its collection of carved wooden statues. The Jusuits taught the Guarani carving, which they did very well. A number of these pieces are collected here. The museum has limited hours and you will probably have to find the person with the key. Fortunately the desk clerk at the Santa Maria Hotel found the keeper of the keys for us.
