wow, the super blue lagoon of Mindanao...so accessible along the highway...the waters' so blue and so inviting for swimming & diving...best destination for summer since the water is so cool...the lagoon is surrounded with trees which is really best for swinning even during daytime since it is shaded by the big/old trees...

A hidden wonder
Just 20 minutes away from Cotabato City you will find this pool of aquamarine colored spring water. Located in Brgy. Margues, the Blue Lagoon,although popular among locals, is a still the town's best kept secret. There are no facilities here, just a makeshift dressing room. No areas for picnics, toilet, whatsoever. If coming from Cotabato City, it's on the left side of the road, just right beside Margues Elementary School. It's just a 2-3 minute walk from the highway to the natural spring pool.

Water was brown when we visited
To our dismay, the water was brown when we visited due to rains the week prior to our visit. Best to inquire whether it rained recently before heading to the place. The place can be difficult to find due to lack of signs but it is very near the main road.
