For the Herbert Dow museum

The Dow museum was why we came to Midland. We found that it was part of the Doan. We were not interested in city history, we chose to drive there for the Dow. First thing to understand is it is open only one weekend a month. Second is it is an interactive museum. Finally, the information is very valuable and worth while. Fortunately, we happened to find a curator who loves their museum and took pity on travelers from CA. The Dow is a must on for anyone loving science and history.

    terrific local historical center
    A small scale and easy to get around local historical center that is extremely well done. Personnel is friendly and helpful. The grounds include a couple of outbuildings of note. Well worth the time to visit.

    You can find out a lot!
    Trying to find your ancestors? How about just like history? Well this place is loaded with both, all Midland! I would have said Excellent but the hours of operation are not everyday, so you must make allowances for your visit.
