The sparkle house

Beautiful mosaics created by John Pratt decorate the exterior of this small house. Mosaics include flowers, religious unity symbol, Jesus, grapes, designs, bees or wasps, and gardens. Materials: mirrors, pottery, china, bottlecaps, bolts, toys and other interesting materials. Free. Best to visit on a sunny winter day when the house truly sparkles. Tours are held monthly (2-4 pm) on a weekend day by Creative360 for $5. In the summer, mosquito spray is recommended. Picnic tables available. Park in driveway.

Very cool
Is a very unique place. Unfortunately it's getting run down. Still cool to stop at. It looks like on the one wall is still being added to.

See it before it's gone
I spent many summers growing up visiting the John Pratt Mosaic House, and I have fond memories of it. John Pratt was an interesting man who led an interesting life, and his home reflects that. The house is easily accessible - it's located on M-20, and there is no fee or anything for viewing it. The trade-off is that there is no tour guide to explain the artwork to you either. But all in all, this home is worth taking the time to pull over and check out on your way to or from Midland.
