    Twenty-something
Visited Greektown after asking around for a good area to grab a drink with lively atmosphere and music. This area is so much fun! The crowd seemed a little younger. I went to level two rooftop bar. Mostly hip hop music. Solid drinks. Great vibes. Definitely would recommend to twenty somethings looking to party/dance.

Still worth visiting to experience a taste of the Greek community in Detroit!
For those of us who remember Greektown in its heyday, with the Hollywood Casino and Greektown Hotel & Parking Garage dominating the area, today's Greektown is a mere shadow of the block filled with authentic Greek restaurants and shops. Only two of the old guard Greek restaurants remain...The Golden Fleece and Pegasus Taverna. (The New Parthenon closed in 2018, under new ownership, with an announcement that it will be renovated, but that remains its status. Santorini closed in 2021.) The Greek is a new addition to the block, along with the standard fare of Wahlburger's and Red Smoke BBQ. The Astoria Pastry Shop remains a staple with its array of sweet baked goods, ice cream, and more. The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral anchors the Greek presence, while Old St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church remains a lovely venue to attend Sunday mass. Within walking distance, just a block away are Fishbones and The Old Shillelagh. Detroit's Greek community still holds the Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade on Monroe Street each year in the spring.
