Beautiful stop

What a beautiful dahlia garden. It’s a quick stop full of beauty. I loved the larger view, but enjoyed the closeups of the flowers and bees the most! “For the beauty of this earth!” A stop worth making! Take 5 minutes or 50! Peaceful and beautiful!

    Inspiring garden
A quick stop lead to a lingering walk through the most beautiful flowers. As I climed the gentle slope among the terraces of thounds of dahlias I realized how devoted volunteers have given their lives to this wonder, and then their ashes afterwards. There are memorials to some well known people here. A spiritual experience! Beautiful artist studios and galleries top the hill. I would become a part of this if I lived in the area!

    Great for Photos!
There is so much beauty in one dahlia, and here we have an entire hillside full of them! Late August/early September is a perfect time to visit and learn about all the many, many types of dahlias there are. Photos of the blooms capture the spectacular colors and shapes - it's quite fun to have these as background photos for apps and social media sites. There are aisles and steps on your way up the hill, but this is nice so you can get up close to each row of dahlias. The sculptures are also quite interesting - one for each season. The location of Dahlia Hill is just off of the rail trail, near parks and a short walk from downtown. The location is near the hospital as well and is a nice quiet and peaceful place if you just need a few minutes to find a little joy. They have a small parking spot for those who may have mobility issues or are driving through town and want a quick stop. Probably not the best place for younger children unless they are kept close - on the corner of two fairly busy streets.
