Wonderful place to spend time with the kids
I brought my four grandkids here, ages from 5 to 16 and they all had a great time. We each picked out what we wanted to paint from the large selection. The staff was very helpful explaining which paints would be best for the younger kids. We were able to relax and enjoy our time there while making beautiful works of art. :). They also sell snacks and drinks there, which the kids always look forward to. One of my favorite places to go!

One time wheel throwing and glass fusion
My daughter (13 year old) and I came here from Macomb especially for the one time wheel throwing experience. I couldn't find anywhere else closer to do that without committing to a multi week class. This was exactly what we were looking for. Matt ran our class and he was fantastic. Patient and helpful with steps and process and in ensuring we both would have a bowl in the end. From calling for additional info, to reserving time for the wheel throwing on line straight thru to checking out at the end, this was a great experience. The employees were customer focused, helpful and friendly .. making art accessible for the non-artist exploring. We came an hour before our scheduled pottery throwing and did a glass fusion project, which was perfect timing. Our pottery throwing lesson and painting took another hour, and it never felt rushed. I observed a young lady employee running a large group of girls for wax hands -= she was engaging with the girls, keeping them focused while maintaining a fun atmosphere! Impressive! Store is bright and well organized, lots of activities to choose from. I'm looking forward to going back to pick up the pieces to see how they turned out. The place was easy to find. Center street parking garage is two minute walk from location. Lots of food options within two to five minute walk (we ended up eating at Brueggers Bagels a couple blocks away after our lesson then stopping at Astoria Pastry before heading home .. but lots of other neat options very close by).
